I didn't go to oak creek but I did antler hunt in the high country in green water.  Found a fresh spike deer around 5,000', I was shocked.  I have not found a single elk shed this year in all my usual stomping grounds.  Not sure what is going on, I'm sure the mild winter has a lot to do w it, but the past couple years for me has been a bust on elk bone.

We just had the mildest winter that I have ever seen on the east side the elk stayed up high and didn't migrate like in the past, you still get fair bunch of welfare elk that show up at the feed stations mostly rag horns and cows, the majority of the big bulls are solitary critters that go there own way, I picked up 13 elk sheds this year in areas a long way from any feed station, sheds are spread far and wide this year.

Really slow for us this year. Last year we cleaned house. This year we found 3 6Xs and a spike between three of us.
