Copalis time finely.
« on: May 01, 2015, 10:05:19 AM »
Well will be heading out sunday for a week in the Promise land Copalis. I learned to bear hunt there in 1985 was awesome back then. Got to learn roads again. Going in sunday with my 24ft trailer 6000 road so I wont run into loggers.  This is about the time last year I missed a bear and seen one in Lincoln. People say its hard brushy used to that I will be calling so it wont matter. Got a new GPS Garmin Montana 650t will be looking for old grades. That's were there were in the 80's.  Will be close calling exciting. Made some great calls this year for my self going to use open reeds more this year. Cant wait couple more days will be doing Raspy very Raspy distress, Elk sounds and bear cub distress. Have two FoxPro's will use those some. Do way better with hand calls.  Rick

Rare flame box elder burl Grey fox growler call. Will be great for my bear calling. Finishing elk horn closed reeds later today will sing.

Well, they are hauling out of the 6000 line now so lots of luck with missing trucks.

Question? How are you getting keys to go in the 6000? With the access permits they sell they won't give you a key to the 6000 gate. I thought the only gate key they gave out was to the 80002 rd off 101.
In fact I was unaware you could get any access this time of year but then I'm not a bear hunter so I've never investigated that.

They give you a list with access gates along with your key and that's one of the gates open to us.
