Picked up a S&W Shield, 9mm, No Safety...
I had thought about selling a couple of weapons to finance some different weapons. Because of I-594, I don't want to deal with selling and the associated background check on potential buyers, so I decided to just keep the old ones and add some news ones.
Yep, It's just what the gun grabbers wanted right? What a bunch of Morons!
Anyway, a couple of weeks ago I picked up a Rem 870 Express. It's pretty cool:
Then just today, I got one of these:
S&W, Shield, 9mm, No Thumb Safety
It's beautiful. Short, light, and slim. It's an awesome carry pistol...

I finally got around to shooting the new S&W Shield 9mm last Saturday. The son and I took that pistol as well as the 12 ga 870 and the 5.56mm AR, and also another 9mm and .22 pistol out for a little target practice.
Here's the target before and after images:

After:
The son:
He's a real crappy video (stupid iPhone editing (cropping, also compresses) and doesn't save the original) of the final kill shot.

The Shield was awesome. It worked flawlessly. Not one single hiccup. Accuracy wasn't the main objective Saturday (lol), but it did seemed to hit the "target". We did a bunch of mag dumps and it was perfect. I'm totally happy with it...

Good move,
"decided to just keep the old ones and add some news ones."
The Shield makes for a good carry gun.
If you are looking for a
good
holster- out of the pile of holsters we have.
The Raven Phantom Modular Holster is (IMHO) one of the best available & by far the most comfortable.

I like the Shield! It will be my next firearm purchase. They are very comfortable in my hand.

I like a safety on my carry weapon. Still trying to get the right rig.
