Idaho draw Archery or muzzy. Do i need the endorsment?
« on: May 07, 2015, 07:22:24 AM »
If I where to put in for the draw in Idaho, would I need the endorsement for muzzy or archery prior to putting in or only if I draw?  Then buy the permit with the muzzy endorsement?  Is a deer permit the same price as a regular deer tag?  Cause they said I cant use the "permit" as a regular deer tag I would have to buy the second deer tag to hunt anything besides the permit hunt.

Sweet thanks.  Just didn't want the app rejected cause i didn't have it.

Put in last night for what i see as a guarantee.

If there's less first choice apps than permits aloted.  Then it would be 100% draw for me/partner right?  The second choice on the app or in the draw odds, only applies to the second draw correct?

Only if the amount of  non residents apps  is 10% or  less of the tag quota for that unit

said less non res apps than 10% only by one or two.  but years before were less by 5 or six people.  so fingers crossed.

To answer the other part of your question if you draw your controlled hunt you then go pick up your tag that is good only for the specific controlled hunt season and area. If you don't draw you can buy a general deer tag good for all general seasons or you can buy a second tag if you draw as well but it will only be good for general hunts

Thanks Andrew.   I asked that when I called.  lady was short with me but that's what she said.  I was shocked at that one.  No biggie just figured I could use my permit/tag towards a general hunt.  When does Idaho post results for first deer elk?

By July 10th for first drawing, August 20th if you go into the second drawing.

Will there even be a second draw for a tag that has more apps than permits in the first and second choice combined?

Yes in most cases because somebody inevitably fails to pick up their tags after drawing. If you draw be sure and get your tag by august 1st
