Got this picture from a friend who has a place on the Pend Oreille. Apparently was taken by a PUD worker about 12 miles north of Usk.

My parents have a place north of usk. East Side of river. It was probably 8-10 years ago we saw one just off the road standing on its hind legs looking at us when we stopped to look at him. I know a buddy who has seen one in the same area as well. I could do without seeing one while hunting! To scary!

I have been told its grizzly rehabilitation area for problem grizzlies from Yellowstone so thats pretty awesome....................... :yike:

I haven't seen them yet up there, but did receive a written warning by the local Bio for having unattended coolers at our campsite because we were in the "Grizzly Recovery" area. This was almost 2 yrs ago up Leclerc cr
