2015 Catfish
« on: May 11, 2015, 04:48:13 PM »
Kind of surprised no one has started a Catfish thread yet. Been good fishing for a month but really starting to get HOT!

Here is a couple from today's trip. We caught 22 in about 4 hours.

Is anyone else out catching any?

I've got a queen bed if you'd like that better than a couch.

Man that would be fun sometime.....take up a member like 92xj on an offer....bring an extra cooler....just slay 'em! Be eating good for awhile! Do they have a limit on them? I know from watching the Rasbo cat thread there have been some pretty big hauls.

Growing up in Richland as a kid I have some good memories of catching those cats.  Nice fish.

Hmmm might have to hit the yak this afternoon if I don't have to work over today. Haven't been out catfishing yet this year, been too busy walleye and crappie fishing.

You have channel catfish to  over 20 lbs. just North of you at Lake Terrell; best fished via boat. I lived in Ferndale for 7 years and one guy was an expert at catching them and the large rainbows with orange PowerBait.

I am strictly a cut-bait fisherman when comes to catfish. Just about anything will work, some better then others, depending on the day. Just remember that you can only use the non-edible parts of game fish. I was at the Palouse River last weekend and it seemed like perch bellies was the key but make sure you have a variety. Keep it fresh on ice is also key.
