eastmans's bowhunting jounal washington hunt
« on: May 11, 2015, 08:02:33 PM »
I just go my may/june issue and there is a hunt in there from washington state that got my attention, great write up on a late bow hunt by one of the pictures in it got my attention there is a gopro on his bow?????? I thought washington state had no electrical devises attached to your bow.  I hate this rule i bought one just so i could start filming my hunts while bow hunting. The hunter in the write up even works as a fish biologist in washington state! I find it funny that eastmans would put a picture in a write up that  could get a hunter in trouble.  Like to hear what other bow hunters have to say about this.

Yes, no electronics, other than lighted nocks may be attached to bow or arrow- one of the DUMBEST rules on the archery books in WA

Looks to me like the gopro is attached to the quiver and not the bow  :chuckle:
Stud buck! I read that story... goes to show you dont have to backpack 38 miles for giant animals.

I know rules are rules. But man, I would not make a big deal over a Go Pro. Its not like he had a flashlight mounted on the bow...
I felt like a one legged cat trying to bury a terd on a frozen pond!

If he violated the rules he should be sited accordingly. I do not agree with all the speed limits I see but I'm sure eligible for a ticket when I go over them. Theres a value in enforcing laws that are in place wether you agree with them or not.

Go pro attached to his Bow ? What a low life......definitely hope they make an example out of him

Just kidding....just as a lot of you would turn your head after seeing a wolf shot, id congratulate him on a tremendous buck an move on and would never remotely think of making a big deal over nothing

I think I would mention it to him if I came across him in the field, could save him a ticket.
He may not be aware of the rule.

My thoughts are the go pro does nothing as far as giving him a advantage to harvest a animal. No big deal to me
