My thoughts are the go pro does nothing as far as giving him a advantage to harvest a animal. No big deal to me

Who cares about the go pro, if anything it would make it harder to balance the bow.

I still want to see a picture of the deer....

If he violated the rules he should be sited accordingly. I do not agree with all the speed limits I see but I'm sure eligible for a ticket when I go over them. Theres a value in enforcing laws that are in place wether you agree with them or not.

The rules are not God.  I would never wish for another hunter to be ticketed over a technicality.  Now poaching?  Sure!  This?  Nope.  :twocents:

I really think there are bigger problems in this world than this..

Cant a guy post a pic on huntwa anymore without the critique of so many do gooders!!!   Some people need to get a life, quit worrying about others.

Lots of pics are not shared on here anymore because of this nonsense..

He broke the law, hell I broke three or four before 8 am this morning!  Call the cops!!!
I kill elk and eat elk, when I'm not, I'm thinking about killing elk and eating elk.

Said nothing about "wishing" it or that I even give a rats it's on his bow. But if there is a blatant violation of any law put in print and being pretty irrefutable evidence  of the violation I would hope our game department would hold them to the same standard as if they were to bump I to him on the field with the same condition. Why should he be exempt?

I agree with Longwalker. The law is annoying and pointless....but it's kind of not the smartest thing in the world to put pictures of a game violation into a magazine.

It seems obvious that the guy doesn't know he can't legally mount a go pro on his bow or he would not have submitted the photo to a national magazine. The same seems true for the magazine, they can't possibly know all the laws for every state, why would they even consider a gopro on a bow not being legal? I see it as a technicality, if a warden wants to issue the guy a warning that would seem appropriate, a ticket would seem extreme to me. Just my  :twocents:

Put a picture of it on Huntwa and the cops will come knocking.  They'll either take you to jail or shoot you. :chuckle:

Are you sure it was in Washington? I don't have the issue, but in that picture you posted the first word in the 4th sentence on the right page says Idaho, and in a sentence that looks to be something along the lines of "hiking in some of Idahos roughest country."

That is indeed a Washington buck.

Well, sucks for that guy. If they come after guys on here for posting pics, I don't know why they wouldn't go after guys that post them in magazines. It's a stupid law, but it's still the law. If the guy is a biologist for the state, he's got no excuse, he should know better.
