Glad you were able to knock one down! We spotted 2 Sunday and one was a platinum blond! I tried to make a play and hiked all the way down a ridge to the bottom of first creek looking for him but he ended up in the timber down there. We hunted hard yesterday and this morning with no luck. Congrats again on a heck of a bear!
Thanks, it was nice meeting you guys.  I was hoping it was you guys on the radio looking for a bear.  I was going to stop by your camp and tell you where the big black female was but I didn't get the bear out until 5 pm, I figured you were already hunting.  If you go back PM me and I will tell you where she was, not that she will still be there waiting but you never know?  How was that thunder and lightning show for you guys Sat night??  It was quite the show down in Troy, we were wondering how you guys were doing in your wall tent.  Take care and good luck if you go back out before the 15th.

Great job and nice bear.  I plan on hitting the Tucannon this weekend for my final 4 day push.

We lucked out on the weather. The storm completely skirted us, we thought we were in for it but it missed us. I dont know if I can get back out this year as I have already burned a week of vacation on 2 hunts. I need to save some vaca for Idaho and anything else I draw this year. I may try a weekend run in a couple weeks if the wife is cool with it otherwise i may not get back out until august.
