Thanks, it happened pretty fast, especially after not seeing anything for 3 and half days.  Wish I would have had a video camera, especially when the black female was looking at me and woofing. Hope it doesn't take another 6 years to draw.  I want to wish the rest of the wenaha guys and spring bear hunters out there still putting boots on the ground the best of luck! Silk, taking us along with your hunt was inspiring, staying in that wilderness alone is something most won't do or understand how it feels.  I hope you kill a pig, you still have lot's of time.  180grain, go get one!  My dad heard some guys on the radio the same time I was looking for my bear, he said it sounded like they were also looking for a bear.  Hope it was you guys, nice to meet you and good luck.

Good stuff, Jerry. Happy for you, man!!

I stayed there at the Shillo Inn of Troy, Oregon. Great food and great people running that place.

More pics.

Pic of my dad

Shot the bear in the opening in the middle, then he ran into the trees to the right.

The pack out, at least to the creek. Then had to split up the weight.

Bear selfie

My dad at his spot on a rainy day, what a trooper.

The night cap, crown and water!

I havent killed a bear since the last one i killed with you in what? 2003? and that was an easy pack compared to yours all by yourself!! no thanks, not anymore..lol.. well until my daughter shoots one :chuckle: congrats on an awesome bear, sweet color and you had your pops there with ya  it dont get much better than that, that one ranks right up there with marrisa, you and your pops whackn two deer together in the green river. i feel for ya, shootin a bear in what sounds like a hell hole and getting it all out by yourself, well it isnt an easy task to say the least, way to stick with it.. i bet that crown and water went down well, you did have ice right?? :chuckle:

Can a person smarter than me turn these pics please.

I could turn them, but then I'd have to keep them in my Photo bucket to rehang them. Are you hanging them in Tapatalk, or some other photo hosting site? When I open them they open sideways on my machine, so that's the way the file was saved.
