Getting a new Labrador Pup!
« on: May 12, 2015, 09:11:15 PM »
My family has always had Labs and since the last one died we have had a hole that we would like to fill. When I started my search I only wanted a female chocolate lab period. As it turns out it is hard to find chocolate lab litters from reputable breeders, but I managed to find one even if it was down in Eastern Oregon. The name of the breeders is Country Fowl Retrievers and it looks like they produce some great animals and they have a chocolate litter due this month. This dog will be used for hunting so good genetics is a must.

First, has anyone used Country Fowl Retrievers before?

The next is does anyone know of current or future chocolate litters?

Lee, the owner of Wind River Labs has a chocolate litter due in Sept.  I have a pup from her..she has great dogs! Great family members, and a ton of drive in the field!    Windriverlabs.com

I like Nudge Nudge and am considering breeding to him. I second Lee but see no reason to pass up the litter you're looking at.

Kingsland Labradors , simply the best!  All Teresa has bred for over 30 years is chocolate labs. Great lines, champion dock jumpers and all papered.  Give them a call and tell them jerry and juli referred you.  They are in south hill Puyallup, quality dogs!  She even has denied sales to people she didn't trust with her dogs, seriously.

Here is my pup at two years from this breeder. But he had some nice chocolates real tall.

Ireland Farms was my first choice breeder but timing for getting one of their female chocolates did not work out. In the future they would still be my first choice but I also got a stellar pup from Country Fowl Retrievers. It was quite the drive to get her but so far she has been an amazing pup!!!

Yes, I am sure Cedar is much bigger than last time I was around her.  By the sounds of it, you have her working well for you.  I'll get Bella over one of these days and the girls can do their thing...
