I've heard they've also implemented their own draw system last year on who gets permission to hunt the Boise Tree Farm for general deer, general elk ect... It used to be that you had to be buddy buddy with the right people to access permission for general seasons... Hopefully that has changed..

I got to watch my good friend shoot a bull in there last year. It was a fun hunt but does not compare to hunting them in the open country. If you see a bull you will have only a few seconds to decide if it’s good enough to shoot. They disappear very fast in those rows. Also, make sure you can see both sides clearly as there are lots of broken tines on many of those bulls. My buddy had a little trouble getting permission but got it figured out on time. The guy told him that this year there was going to be a draw for access but that bull tags had priority. Either way sucks that you will have to be lucky enough to draw twice once from the state and once from the farm. If you are holding a Prescott tag and didn’t get on the farm you’re going to have a rough time of it. Good luck to anybody who draws it this year.

The December tags that are issued are probably the easiest of the tags.... All the leaves are on the ground... I've talked to numerous people that say they just drive around tell they see what they want..

I had a muzzy tag in 07 and I had seconds to decide on day 4 of a 7 day season to shoot the bull that was standing head on at 50 yards to only tell it had antlers and that was it..my choice to shoot was the right one  :chuckle:
