I have a bushnell rangefinder, it came in its own pouch with a clip, which I clipped onto my left shoulder strap on my pack. If I ditch my pack to make a stalk the attached lanyard goes around my neck.

I'm a lefty archer, so bow in my right hand and rangefinder in my left pant cargo pocket. Just feels easy and natural to grab.

Attached to my bino bivy. When rifle hunting it's attached with it's pouch when archery elk it's attached by the belt clip. No pouch for archery so there's less movement when deploying

I was fortunate enough to be able to afford these optics some years ago and I'm  very glad that I did so.  They are, by far, the best hunting/scouting equipment I have ever purchased......

In fact, I bought both the 8x and 10x Geovids at the same time.  My son hunts with me also.

Consider the cost of both a high-end bino and a high-end LRF, add a bit more for the conveinence of having both in the same handy unit and these Geovids are well worth the investment.

Good luck!

I'm right handed.....so rifle goes on right shoulder, range finder goes in its little pouch just back of my left hip...I can reach back, take it out, range the stump that looks like a critter for the 5th time, and put it back and secure it one handed.

I love it when I am hunting and I look things so intently that everything starts looking an elk.  I range that down tree with sage behind it about 10 times because I think it looks like an elk, then when I see an elk in the area, I look back at the stump and it stops looking like an elk for about 2 hours....then its an elk again...

For rifle hunting I don't mind if it's in the backpack or cargo pocket. For archery it's around the neck and tucked into the pen pocket in the shirt.

We carry ours the same for archery elk or rifle hunting muleys, it's on our packs shoulder strap on a range-snap! It's a very cool attachment that weighs one ounce & is at your fingertips just under your chin & off to the right on strap! Minimal movement is needed to use & you don't have to worry if in a hurry that you may drop it, it's always hooked to you!
