My backpacking set up
« on: May 15, 2015, 09:08:24 PM »
Just got back from a military detachment, and leave again in a few weeks.  However on the return I plan on doing a weekend hike in the cascades.  TBAR and The Skybuster really helped me out last year with hiking and I learned more from them than any youtube video or book. I have always been a hands on guy :chuckle:  This is my current setup pic by pic.  Looking for any extra inputs.  Current weight is 28 lbs in the backpack.  Not pictured in the photos are;

Head lamp
Hoodie (will also be my pillow)
Fire starter bricks
Glock 29
Bottle of whiskey (sorry already drank the display model :tung:)
Rather be dead than cool.

I do not have a navigation unit or a water filtration unit.  I boil all of my water but do plan on buying a filtration unit for those times that instant water is a must.  I forgot to add a flash light to the mix and usually have one in the side pocket.  Looking for any inputs from the experienced backpackers.  Thanks for reading the post and any inputs :tup:
