Had a mid-sized red cinnamon at 7 yards tonight.  Nice coat, but fairly small head.  I let him walk.

Well folks thanks for following along this year.  All done and headed back to Virginia in the morning.  Went to pull bait #2 today and the barrel was gone from it's spot and rolled about 300 yards down the hill.  I'll have to post a photo of the damage this bear done to a 55 gallon steel barrel.  I'll have to come back next spring and see if I can locate him.  WOW!

Made it home last night.  8,086 miles in 22 days.  I think my truck is almost as wore out as I am.  :)

Wow!  You must have run into a few detours :chuckle:  Glad to hear you made it back in one piece.  Now you just need another vacation to recover from your vacation.
He asked, Do you ever give a short simple answer?  I replied, "Nope."

2745 miles there, with a side trip up in Wisconsin to pick up bear bait and 2635 miles back.  The rest was running back and forth between WA and ID.  I also lost 16 pounds packing in bear bait.  Feel great!

I did learn something the hard way, although it was a lesson I should have known before learning it.  NEVER eat a truck stop hotdog.  Spent the last 2 days of my drive with food poisoning.  Ugh

My son bringing out the barrel, using the worker harder not smarter method.  :)  I guess when you are in his kind of shape you can get away with it.

This was done by a big bear, wow they can abuse a barrel!!!

Pretty spot, my son getting ready for the evening sit!
