Here's the first batch of Lanyard "necker" knives.

They're High Carbon tool steel from a modern sawmill bandsaw blade. Convex ground, hardened, blasted, sharpened and blued. Gripped in Micarta and pinned with silver nickle (also blasted for a full satin finish.)

They all are right around 5" long overall, sheath included. 4" long out of the sheath, give or take. They're designed to go right on your multi-drop Lanyard with your calls. Never do a quick stand without a knife again!

Thought I would post up here since I am one of the LUCKY 5 to get one of these beautiful knives, I was a bit suprised at the size when I finally got to hold it, I will post some pictures of the one I received so you get a little perspective.

It is a very light knife and HOLY CRAP sharp !! and as you can see will fit into very confined spaces !!

I just have one question and that is if I put in on a lanyard and wear it around my neck, do I have to keep it outside of my shirt ?? or does it become a conceled weapon at that point ??

It handles well if you pinch the blade between your thumb and index finger and the handle with your middle and ring finger (too short to use the pinky) but I really like it and will play hell trying not to lose it in my pocket !!

Rainshadow, do you make something similar sized as a skinner type blade for caping?  Looking for a small one that I can guide my finger along the edge to get close, kind of a round end?  Might be slightly bigger handle to hold comfortably but the short blade design.. Mike

Hey Mike, Did you see the set of knives Steve made for the auction, there was a scalpel type knife there and also he made one for wf70gonehunting. Is that what you are after ??

Those were the coolest little knives I have seen, I wished I had one too !!!

Cohoho, I don't have any now, but I can do that. I have a meat hunter friend who mentioned the same thing to me. Plenty of grip, but maybe a 2" blade. Fat and rounded. So he could stick his index finger up the spine and be right at the tip, but without cutting his finger.

Next time I get time in front of the grinders I'll try to fix you up. I'll send you a PM when I have it. Feel free to send me a PM with more specs if you want. This same style won't be expensive, maybe $65. If you want something fancy let me know.
