All Burnt and all closed. Deer hunting is probably not gonna happen in the valley this year. IMHO

Is that the area they offered a ton of extra doe permits after a fire last year?

Given current fire activity no one is getting into the upper Entiat this year, or maybe even chiwawa.

 :dunno: :yeah: :dunno:

Not sure what your saying here. I do my homework, and your post makes sense for the lower valley areas, but this thread is talking about the UPPER Entiat valley, It is closed by a "forest order"....The only way your getting in there is being a FS related employee or illegally.  :bdid:

:yeah:  As of today I believe.  Seems kinda young to have retired, maybe she was canned and they are saying that to be nice to her.:dunno:

Good riddance.

They have not selected anyone to replace her yet. Hope the new ranger they assign at least will learn/know the district.

Ha pretty weird timing I think too. The guy taking her place while the search for a replacement is a good local entiat valley guy. But he is to perfect for the job so they probably won't give him the full time spot.

I believe that the Entiat Ranger District has appointed an interim Ranger by the name of Randy Whitehall.  He has been working in the Chelan Ranger District, lives in the Entiat Valley and is very well respected by local residence.  Forest Supervisor Mike Williams has made a great selection; one that will help to heal wounds opened by the previous ranger.  Her retirement party is Friday, 9/4.  I will not be attending.
