Jigging with 1 ounce lead fish shaped jigs tipped with a small piece of herring or cast and slow retrieve 5 in. grubs on a 3/8 or 1/2 oz lead head. White or clear with sparkles have been good colors.

The rock fish and ling fishing is better at Neah Bay but if you go that far and catch your limit you can not stop and do any kind of fishing in area 5 until you off load the catch. At area 4 you can keep 2 lings and 6 rock fish per day depending on which side of Tatoosh island you fish. 10 rock fish if you go west of Tatoosh.

Topwater for seabass can be super fun, but it only really works under limited circumstances - basically am and pm twilight with super calm water.  If you see them jumping, that's the time to bring out the topwater plugs.  So fun when it happens, unfortunately just isn't often enough.  Otherwise stick to jigs.

Remember its one bass East of Slip point and 3 west of slip point. Stupid rules since the whole area is accessed from the same marina.

We did good on big bass using 6oz lead, double hook set up and whole herring. Drift the shore from slip to Pillar and hit the rocky spots, 30-50ft of water. Had a good mix of Kelp greenling and some lings as well.
