looking for new hunting partners in sw washingto
« on: July 29, 2015, 09:13:36 PM »
I'm 38 years old and have hunted in Washington my whole life all my friends I grew up with and hunted with have either moved away or chosen life paths that led them out of my life. I'm getting ready for this upcoming hunting season and last year I started teaching my nephews how to hunt and helped them both get there first deer. They are excited for this years hunting season. So I'm looking for a family oriented hunter who doesn't mind having youth along on the hunt. I'm married and have two children of my own but they are not quite old enough to hunt yet. Although I do take my 6 year old son into the field with me once in a while to get him started on the ropes and he can't wait to start hunting. I also love long range rifles and have become friends with an older retired gunsmith witch allows me to do lots of custom gun work at cost. I love to go out and shoot targets as far as my limits will let me I just bought a new range finder and I can't wait to go shooting to try my rifle at 1000 yards I do all my own reloading and enjoy putting all the effort into my sport from building my own rifles and my own loads to teaching youth how to hunt. So any ways don't mean to rant on just hopping to meat some other guys on here to Hunt with and shoot with.

Welcome to the forum and SW WA. I'm an archer, so probably not a hunting partner prospect. I live in Orchards. If you like beer, there's a place nearby called NW Liquid Gold that does craft beers. I've met a few forum members there in the past. Since you like long range guns, here's one a forum member helped me put together over about 5 mos. 6.5mm Grendel.

Sent you a PM.

If you're still looking for folks, I would be interested.

Vancouver first-timer who needs to learn the "real" part of hunting. I have modern or a muzzleloader rifle; I've been holding off on buying my license until I determine when I am going to go.

I'd also try to pick your brains on reloading, but my press is sitting in my garage unused due to the Great Powder Shortage of Every-year-since-i-bought-the-thing.
