Granted I have only 30 acres, but I would let a kid shoot a doe off my property for $300 for 3 days even thougj it should only take 1 evening....   :chuckle:

Doesn't that sort of thing require a guide license? Also, why pay 300 for a youth doe, most farmers will let your kid shot a doe if you ask.

I'd let a good kid shoot a doe off my property for free. No offence meant.
Just one more day

I wonder how much of that business license fee goes to managing wildlife?

$0.00.  It's a plain old business license for taking peoples money in exchange for goods or services.  It's not a wildlife business license.

:yeah:   And it could also be said that a business license is so the city or county government can take money from the business owner.

Do you think it should?  Isn't that what the hunting licenses purchased by the clients would be for?
Kindly do not attempt to cloud the issue with too many facts.

Most clients probably support wildlife threw tags and other means of donations.  A lot of guys that pay to have a guide are probably in the upper middle class financially.  Would a guide need insurance and a bond to guide in wa?

Went to Winthrop last season and went knocking on doors as both of my sons had 2 doe tags each.  One guy had 26 does on his place and he said we could shoot them for $200 each.  Seemed like a steep fee.  I went and talked to the neighboring property and they gave us permission.  They were very happy to help out.
After I had processed the deer I made them up a nice basket and took it back over to them.  Venison steaks, breakfast sausage, pepperoni.  Several fillets of salmon along with some smoked salmon and few fillets of halibut.  They were pretty happy about that.
Cut em!
It's not the shells!  It's the shooter!

That's awesome! Hope they told their neighbors how many goodies they got for being good people helping out kids. Figures that less people want to help each other out anymore without the almighty $ involved but not even for kids? That's bad juju
