Getting old isn't the same as having a disability.  That being said, modern bows that pull 40 lbs will kill any animal in WA.  I know 13 year old females that hunt with a setup like that.  There is a time when we just have to hang the bow up.  Being able to physically do it is part of the sport.  Opening up archery to crossbows isn't what most bowhunters want.  Myself and others hunt with a camera in September and enjoy the season and bugling of bulls.  That's another option.

The few people I know with crossbows dont ever practice, they have sighted in and that has been it. My guess is if they ever have the shot opportunity they will more than likely miss or make a bad shot due to not ever practicing.
