300 win mag Christensen arms nightforce nxs 185 bergers. But I think I'm going to go to 215 vld's. That bear ended up getting back up and I had to shoot him again.
I am curious as well on the change in bullets. We're did the 185's hit and what happened with performance?

Also what speed? I can see a slight windage advantage with the 215's. Personally I been thinking about switching to the 210 hybrid if I can find any
Running the numbers here mostly for my own interest 185vld @3248 in a 10mph wind from. 9 o'clock was 3.9 moa at 800 yards215vld @3000 with same wind is 3.3 moaDifference of 4.8" That could make or break a shot IMO

After he laid there for about 5 minutes he got back up and I shot him again at 750 yards and he went quite a ways to the bottom rolling through the brush. He left an awesome trail to follow.he probably went about 200 yards down hill from the initial shot.

I'm using 27.70 for true pressure not weather meter pressure.70*f and 52%rh Speed was 2082fps and tof was .924sec. Energy was 1445fpe

Close to 3 football fields in less than a second, the velocity is still over 2,000 fps and it still pushes up against the 'ole magic number of fpe's to kill cleanly. Thanks jasnt......you're somebody that 'does the work' and I'm sure that it hasn't hurt your odds nor confidence level........ .

The wind where we were hunting was so bad most of the time, so with that higher BC it should buck the wind way better.

Nice work man. Your partner pull the trigger yet?
