Anyone fish the Lewis lately?
« on: May 25, 2015, 07:42:13 PM »
I have a week of vacation coming up next week and have not been out yet for steelhead. Anyone been fishing or hearing anything from the Lewis. The last couple years I havent gone much. I dont want any secrets. I just want to know if it is worth using up a day to get my boat up to par and ready to go. Or if I should just try a few days at Johnson creek or the hatchery (as those are the only bank spots I know).

Went out one day last week with no luck & did not see any other fishermen.
Remember, it's closed above Johnson Creek until June1

I would be fishing salmon in the columbia for another 3 weeks at least.... or just skip it and focus on the columbia entirely.. much better fishing anyways.

I would fish the columbia but have no clue where to start. On top of that it would have to be bank access or find someone with a spare seat in a boat. I dont feel comfortable in my boat out there.
