You should try tanning your own moose cape someday Charlie.  That hide is quite fun wet.

I know all about a wet moose cape, remember I pressure wash my capes ! Holy Smokes! I have about a 45 yard walk to get to my salt box and drip rack. I'm only 155 pounds and I think that cape weighed as much as me  :chuckle: No way will I shave an moose cape or even attempt to tan one. My boss would have to give me a raise  ;)

Its a challenge for sure.  I had a hell of experience with mine.  I manhandled it up onto the form, of course covered in hide past and the damn support ripped out of my mench and here I was holding the form, the horns and wet cape covered in hide paste.  :chuckle:

On second thought, I want Ridge to video tape his wifes reaction as he tries to bring it through the front door.  Thats the first hurdle.  (the Mrs, not the door, thats the second part) :)

Yeah, wait for that Brian...  I just got mine hung about a month or so ago.  I had to take the door and both jambs off to get it in the house.  It takes up half my rec room.

Thats one thing I wont have to worry about, since mine had dropped his already I'm going to have Charlie put posts in so they will be removable.

The things that come to those who wait, may be the things left by those who got there first!

thats why I have Idabooners Booner hanging in my living room.  He couldn't get it in his house through the door.  I barely got it through my  slider.  Something about a 4 foot nose, a 6foot neck and another 4 feet going perpendicular to it. LOL
