I am just glad we wrap our meat so well, two layers of plastic wrap, then one in waxed butcher paper, tape it tight...  I still have steak from three years ago...  :EAT:  The freezer is still looking pretty good...

I heard the out of state limbs are really tasty.if it was a dry limb you could roll it in your tag and have a tag taco,or smoke it..Better to find light in the slow times, next year will be better least we got out.thats what really matters

I seen more deer this year than in the past 5 years. But I still ate tag soup.It was well worth the money spent though.Took the wife out for her first modern firearm season, brought my kids with me on almost all my hunts, seen well over 500 deer, just no big blackies. The biggest I seen was a five point that one side had been busted off.Of course that was through my log truck windshield oct.31. :bash:

Well- I agree - tag soup sucks....  I didn't tag out - didn't go back to AK....  :'(  but I learned alot of things this season for hunting here in WA  :bash: and met some great folks and learned new areas for the future.  Grocery bill will be higher than it has been in ten years, guess I can survive on Sturgeon..... :chuckle: although the supply is very low.... So it must be this 2nd coming season that I get one of those easy to draw OIL tags--right...

Easily my worst year ever, not only conditions and other normal excuses but I had the added hinderence of my overall health and fitness.  All my own fault.  I am in the process of changing that.

I started with a Montana archery antelope appetiser, followed up with a archery elk tag main course and an Entiat archery muledeer dessert. Thankfully I helped my partner pack out his cow in the early season. That will get me thruogh the year.

Can we break the soup down per state? If so I have enough soup to eat for the next 3 winters.

You ever try to figure out how much $ spent per pound of meat brought home? I was in the positive (barely) while in my 20's but now deep into the 30's I figured I am at a minimum (negative -----) $100 per pound but oh well. I figure I will quit using this formula when I turn 40 and sure as hell wont care when I am in my 50's.
