Beretta M9/92FS.  I like the M9 because it has the flat dustcover of the older 92-series pistols, before the frame was modified for the .40 round.  It's got a safety, and 15rd factory mags.  I've had a couple, they all ran flawlessly.  Down to just the M9 at the moment.  It isn't leaving.

In my past I have shot a full mag through one ragged 2" hole at about 40 feet with the P226, the M9, and a tricked out Dan Wesson 1911.  I'm a pretty good shot, I fair about that well with other guns, but I remember that M9 session for sure.  I don;t like that safety though.  So, I'm gonna think on the P226 more.  All your suggestions are gonna get some thinkin actually.

Please post a link that verifies the 13 or 15 round capacity on the BHP, and if htere's a shop that you can recommend for glock work that would be great too.  My father in law just bought a 19 so it will at least benefit him.

I read the fine print on the BHP.  13 rd's in 9mm.  I'd still love some feedback on good shops that do Glock work.

thnx

Try these two if you want to buy a new trigger:

http://vanekcustom.com/

Or, search for the "25 cent trigger job" if you want to go at it yourself.

Get a 5" STI 9mm 1911 and be happy with 10rds.
There is no comparison with any of the plastic fantastics listed above.
Seriously.

I would try the M&P.  I had no idea about them and was issued one at work.  I consistently qualify 96 to 97% with it.  I was very surprised.  With a Glock I shot lower scores.  I'm a 1911 guy by choice but the M&P surprised me by how well it shoots.

RG, are your duty pistols stock M&P's?  Factory triggers?

I also carry an M&P at work (.40), stock trigger, stock sights, it points really well. The trigger however is not very crisp, same thing goes for my CC (M&P compact .40), and the reset is nonexistant. I've heard that the newer M&P's have a more tangible reset, but I have not fired a newer M&P.

I like my Glock 17 and 19 better, and shoot better with both of them (marginally) than my duty pistol and CC pistol. The M&P's however have a much more ergonomical grip and fit my hand better than a Glock.

So I hope that is as clear as mud for you  You really gotta go out and shoot some guns and find out what fits you best!
