My wife runs Kenetrek and puts on a ton of miles with a pack.
She used a pair of heal only, gel insoles that completely made the slippage go away.
They are clear and have a small green or blue area under the heel.

I have a pair that after one season leak badly! They have been in my closet for 2 seasons now. They also seem to suck in the snow! me and my old man both spent more time on our ass from slipping one year in Idaho than we did on our feet. I have a pair of old danner elk hunters I pull out for snow days now. Besides that they are really comfortable to wear  :chuckle:

I'm a Danner guy.
The Bob sole is unbeatable and has a wide stable base.
Perhaps they don't last as long but while they are up and running they are my pick.

I've recently had both Crispi and Kenetrek in multiple sizes on around the house.
No thanks.

The best boot is the one that works for you.
Over the years my Danners have gotten the job done.

I did the lathrop custom boot system. They put me in some lowa bighorn hunters and so far i love them! After the first 5 miles they have been super comfortable. Lathrop and sons was a pleasure to work with also.

This may be old news to some but it was new to me and made a difference in how my work boots fit and feel.

Sounds like your insoles are worn out. I would start with that.

I ran some lite Keens and they were OK for as long as they lasted in the hot dry weather which wasn't long.
