I remember deer hunting in Teanaway in 1989 or 1990 and running into another hunter way up on the mountain, where I expected to be all alone, especially since this was in the middle of the week and all the camps that had been there were gone. Anyway, talked to this guy for a few minutes, and I remember the first thing he said was something like "man you're crazy for not wearing orange!" I told him I never see anyone hunting up here and I'm not worried about it, besides there's no law that requires orange. I'm pretty sure I didn't even own an orange vest back then. I think orange became law shortly after that.

I do remember one of the most common hunting color clothes back then was the old plaid black and red coats.
Elijah Gomez is my newest hunting partner! He passed his field day, and graduated the course at the age of 8. Many hunts upcoming for my little man, watch out Michael Waddell.
