NOT going to read the entire 17 pages.  Did he kill one or was it tag soup this year?

After 17 pages, I'm still not sure.   :rolleyes:

You must not care much...

I don't think I would have read through 17 pages either, however, I would have looked at least one page back.   ;)

Don't sweat it RT it happens you were after a monster, and you let the small bulls walk. Some guys is goal is to just fill the tag, but others want to put in a lot of effort to shoot  a monster on the last day. To me it sounds like a successful hunt you were into elk everyday, and you had your buddies with you. You get him next Rt  :tup:

Glad you had a great hunt RTS. I nominate this as best elk hunting thread of the year. Holy cow 18 pages you had us on the edge of our chairs wishing you got your trophy bull.

You gave it all RT.  Hoping I can do some justice with all the info the getsum crew has given me.  Slow day today, looks like temp dropping and weather moving in.  Might start em back up

Ive delayed my posting because I really dont know what to write. I failed pretty much sums it up!!!  I have no regrets, I set a goal and just could not achieve success.

Archery is hard! Lots to learn and trust me Im as frustrated as I have ever been as a hunter.  Just gonna give it some time and see what happens.

Thank you to my crew! They did everything they could for me.  You guys are top notch.

Thank you for following what was my dream to chase monster bulls.

I kill elk and eat elk, when I'm not, I'm thinking about killing elk and eating elk.

You gave it hell and the reward for that even without harvest overcomes any lack of success , look at our laughs and pains and the things we saw that many never get too .
there will be another day in the woods where the outcome is different , we did nothing wrong and had close calls , we saw a few that where just out of reach for our weary legs . GETSUM !

That wasn't a failure,  nor unsuccessful. You worked harder for this tag than I've ever seen and covered more miles than most on your quest. I'd rather try and miss than not try at all and you sir did not fail. Great memories were had and I'd rather have those than any easy chip shot hand-me-down hunt ever.  There's always another day :tup:

Failure = success

If it was easy it wouldn't be worth doing
