I went over last month on my bonsai scouting tripat about 4 p.m. to get familiar with the roads and check some areas that looked promising from google earth 7 plus hours over, arriving at 12:30a.m. I slept in the snowmobile warming shack. Well I went to sleep after the racoons stopped climbing all over the shack. You know, in the dark a few racoons outside can sound really big. Up way to late after daylight I drove around until 3pm before heading home. I was able to see the one big bull and had a chance to scout the exact hill above a beaver pond that I killed my bull on.
