Bowtech,

The biologist you will want to contact is Von Pope...he works for Chelan County P.U.D., not WDFW...and helps keep tabs on the South Shore goats...I haven't really looked at the boundaries of the unit but if Devore Creek is included I recommend you check it out as well.

Bowtech,

Not to scare you but I highly recommend calling the Bio about your tag...my dad just came back to Manson from his cabin at Lucern today...he saw a goat along the lake that was burned, and the Wolverine Cr fire has pretty much burned up all the access areas to your unit (thanks to the upper Entiat also being closed)...last I heard the fire has made its way to  Emerald Park and is on its way to Graham Harbor on the east end and all the way past Riddle Creek on the west end...you can find info and photos at "Go Lake Chelan.com"

We were over there all weekend and left early today because the smoke was so thick my oldest was having a hard time breathing...we actually had dinner at the top of the Butte just to get away from the smoke!

I'd be getting a hold of WDFW about this fire and all the habitat it's burning up in your area. My guess is they would possibly give you another area, and if that's the case the sooner you would know the better for preparation. Just my thoughts. Best of luck.
