MAINE MOOSE TAG!
« on: June 13, 2015, 05:29:36 PM »
My Dad and I just pulled a Maine moose tag for the October season.  It happens to be in the unit that I basically grew up hunting in!  I'm super excited!

I will definitely post the story here.  I put him in for the tag on his birthday, and am so happy that the stars aligned.  It's going to be a great hunt together.

One tag, either of us can shoot.  Dad shoots first though.

Nice grab, Miles!

I'll be shooting photos in Acadia this summer. If your unit isn't too far from there and want me to give it a drive through, I'll see what I can do. Feel free to PM me.

Congrats - that is awesome.
As long as we have the habitat, we can argue forever about who gets to kill what and when.  No habitat = no game.

Thanks guys.  I've had moose hunting consuming my thoughts since we found out on Saturday night.   Every time my dad picks up the phone it's "hey, did I tell you that I drew a moose tag". :chuckle:  I tell him, yup they haven't taken your name off the list yet.

Here's some sheds that all came from the unit we are going to be hunting.  My brother shed hunted the area for a couple years and picked up some nice paddles.  Hopefully some big moose are still  hanging around.
