New Hampshire results come out tomorrow.  Really hoping my dad or good friend pulls a C2 tag.  It's the NH unit that borders my Maine zone and the season starts after the Maine season ends.  Fingers crossed...

Dad is putting up some trail cameras this weekend in an attempt to find a huge bull that he saw several times last year.  Let's hope he's still roaming around the same area in my Maine unit.

This moose is in my unit and hopefully dad and a friend can pattern him before October.  He's on the list...

My 78 year old father drew a moose tag this year too. He was born and raised in Maine, lives his whole life there and never been drawn...until now. Chance of a lifetime.

Very nice!  What WMD did he get?

Some unique brow tines on this one.  My dad took this picture two weeks ago. He has triple brows but a weird drop tine thing on the left antler.  It will be interesting to see how much more paddle length he puts on.  Not much growing time left.

That's a cool bull! Looks like some paddle development left on the back end.

My dad and friend spotted 4 good bulls today.  One in the group is pushing 60", two are around the 50 mark, and one smaller one.  Pics are kind of blurry, but hopefully we'll have some trail cam close ups within the next week or two.

When's the hunt Russ?

Opening day is October 10, and it's a 6 day hunt.

One month to go. I can't believe the season is almost here.   Seems extra weird because dad and I were preparing for this same hunt one year ago...
