Late Archery Naneum

My buddy drew late archery Naneum for Nov 25-Dec 8.  Anybody ever draw this tag?

No but know people that have. Follow the snow line and you may have to get permission for private property depending on the snow level .
Pain is temporary, achieving the goal is worth it.

a bruiser will be tough , but he should have a fun hunt and he will see plenty of elk .

I would go in looking for a nice 4x4, 140-145" should be the goal, he may get lucky and get something above 150".  I am sure it will be a nice deer with a thick neck.  Tell him to not get hung up on the score, enjoy the hunt and shoot what has the wow factor for him.

Don't let anybody give him any guff about not doing the tag justice, it will be a fun hunt that he should see lots of deer and elk on.

Every year seems to be different. I helped a guy last year who had the tag and he had a lot of opportunities at decent bucks, and missed one that was 160" plus. But most were smaller, he had multiple opportunities for stalks per day. Should be a super fun tag. Hope for some weather and kill the first solid 140-150" buck you can. You should see plenty of deer and elk, but it's never a gimme with a stick and string.
