There is no amount of points that you can have that would mean you are "close" to drawing. The numbers aren't out yet for the 2015 drawings, but in 2014, of the people who applied for Chewuch with 15 to 18 points, nobody drew.
I myself don't put in anymore, but have a few friends that have been drawn and I have helped them with their hunt. I truly believe there is no ryme or reason to this deal. One buddy got drawn twice in a 5 year period for the same unit for quality deer(and yes one of the coveted ones that gets more apps than this one), have another buddy who has been drawn for moose, sheep, goat and god knows what else(I keep telling him to start buying Wa.st. lottery tickets before he gets struck by lighting...twice!). Have another friend that has drawn 2 quality deer tags, one with 2 points and the other a few years later with 4 points, same unit! You guessed it,another dandy mule deer unit! To ad insult to injury

one of his relitives got drawn this year for (in my opinion) the best of all!..8 points. Keep putting in folks,it truly is a role of the dice. I wouldn't give yourself a headache or let it drive you nuts trying to figure it out

........I will say that some units seem to be easier to draw with that random low point count than others

Sad to say for some of you folks Chewuch is not one of them for some goofy reason...just saying from our history'
