Aladdin A early any moose, Yay me! Story and pics added
« on: June 16, 2015, 06:03:15 PM »
I can't believe I finally drew a moose tag, so stoked. Now I have to decide how I want to do it. Better call Bearpaw. I don't want to waste this OIL opportunity. Come on Oct 1.

Not sure anyone knows that unit better than Bearpaw.
He asked, Do you ever give a short simple answer?  I replied, "Nope."

Dale can put you in the best spots in the unit I'm sure.  Good luck and shoot one uphill from the truck!

Yes I will be on the phone with Dale today. I w@was in the Aladdin unit a little years ago when I did an unguided white tail  hunt with Dale. I will probably do a guided or partially guided hunt with him. It's a 6 hour drive just to scout so I will probably let Dale do my scouting.  :chuckle:

Scouting for moose is pretty pointless for the October season...the only thing scouting would be good for is looking at areas to hunt and roads.

 :yeah:
I am not opposed to golf, for I suspect it keeps armies of the unworthy from discovering deer.

I had the other thread removed due to personal reasons. I'm not ready to talk about my hunt yet. I thought I was but I felt my blood pressure rise as I started to type. I will post my story when I can do it in a diplomatic way. I ended up shooting a young bull on my own because I was out of vacation time and needed to get back to work. Meat in the freezer, Yum.

Good to hear Ripper
Young bull, Old bull, Cow you still got to hunt and for an animal alot of us may never draw the tag for in this state...
To hunt and butcher an animal is to recognize that meat is not some abstract form of protein that springs into existence tightly wrapped in cellophane and styrofoam.
