« on: June 21, 2015, 08:06:37 AM »
so I would like to use lighted knocks. I have victory rip gamer arrows .204. it comes with a bhoning A-knock. how do I find the right illuminated knock. there are all different ones to select do I just choose the one that matches the .204 or do I need to find the inside diameter of the shaft?

Should be able to go to any of the web sights of the brand you wish to use (nocktunal, lumenok, etc....) and look at a sizing chart. Mine were based on brand of arrow, nock style and inside dia. A local bowshop could probably give you some info too.

I use the nocturnals as well. I am happy with them.

Red.  To me seems to be best color to see at distance.  I have tried blue and green.

I think 204 is the I.D. of that shaft, isn't it?

If you look at the component list it shows the "A" nock.  "A" nock is a Bohning product named for Easton's "A"xis shaft.  The Easton nock for the Axis is an "X" nock.  "X" nock has an O.D. of .205".  So by that reasoning I'd think the Nocturnal size "X" would be the right size.  But, the easy route would be just to call Rage or Victory and ask them!
He asked, Do you ever give a short simple answer?  I replied, "Nope."

Yes .204 is the I.D. I called victory and they answered my question before I was done asking!

I use nock outs... easy turn off, and they can be put in practice mode for target shooting and saving the batteries.. they come with adapters to fit any arrow so size is not a problem

and for the highjacked question... I use green.. seem to be a bit brighter and my eyes pick them up better in flight

Just FYI you will need to probably add some weight up front to maintain your arrow FOC as the illuminated nocks are typically ~10grn heavier than the normal plastic ones.

I have luminocks in red gut shoot GT arrows, not sure if they are avail for your's..

I tried the CLEAN SHOT "NOCK OUT" yesterday - It broke on the first shot.  The plastic nock came unglued and popped off -

Nock out is the brand I was most impressed with, but i didn't make the change, because they aren't legal in Montana yet.
I liked practice mode
