Also while taking pipe apart I discovered it had almost welded together.
Which surprise me.

I have a take down stove for our cook shack with 6 inch pipe and it comes apart easy.
I had to work hard on this five inch pipe. But I had made sure to push it down to the rim.

The whole pipe came off the stove easy enough but the section differnt story.

Not a bad thing.
I doubt the section would ever come apart in the wind.
One screw at the stove should do the trick.

I have the same issue. Out of the stove is cake, the pieces apart from each other take a little work. I use a leather glove and tap the top of the piece I am trying to get off, back and forth side to side, it eventually breaks free and comes apart relatively quickly.  Now the angle pieces, if you are going to use them pretty much stay in whatever position they are in during the burn. I can't get mine to break free and try different angles, luckily they are set where I need them for my wall mount stove jack.

Anyone use a creosote login. Their wood stove?
Or other products like that?

Thanks for the thread and great info, I am seriously thinking about ordering one.  My nedw wall tent came with a pellet feeding Riley stove, but Im not to fond of the riveted and light weight part of the Riley.  Rather have a heavy robust stove....

Question for ya did the top get glowing red?  Ive had a cylinder stove in the past warp on the top after getting really hot, was never flat again after that.

I wouldn't worry one bit about that, those things are built like a tank.  Craftsmanship is really excellent and I think you could drop it off a bridge and not hurt it.

I use plenty of screws on the pipe just for safety's sake as they are cheap and only take a second to put together.
