Help picking out bow for stepson
«
on:
June 25, 2015, 10:32:04 AM »
My stepson is 15 years old and is in need of a new bow. He can with some difficulty pull my bow of 70#s and the youth bow I got him a few years ago just no longer works for him. He is 6'2 and his 18 year old brother is 6'9.
I've been all over the place in my head of what to do. Considered giving him my bow and then giving me an excuse to buy a new (or new to me) bow. Thinking I better be looking for the longest possible draw length for him to be able to adjust in the next few years.
I'm not a guy who is going to buy a new bare bow for $800. I've had several but the knowledge from this group is impressive. Budget is $450-550??
Thought I'd pick your collective brain on advice and direction to go....
Thx,
Gringo

Bear Encounter. They have a 50-60# and a 60-70#.
They sell them for $299 or $399 with quiver, sight, wrist strap, and stabilizer.

I'm not afraid of used....
Been looking at this one for a while now. Just don't really care for the accessories that come on it.
Thoughts?

Last year the bow only was $899! Good enough you can keep those accessories as back up goods.
Did you also notice on the bottom of that page has the bare bow for $399.95? Snatch that baby up man!!!
