Gunsmithing question

I acquired in a trade, a Sig Sauer P239.  As you can see, the trigger guard is rounded in the front.



I am interested in having some work done on it to square off the trigger guard in the front to resemble a Glock.



Is this something a gunsmith could/would do?  Any idea of who might take the work on and how much it would cost?

I would guess it might be best to just sell/trade the 239 and get a Glock.  Maybe someone could cut off that trigger guard and fabricate a new one that matched but it would be a heck of a lot of work and probably cost more than just buying a Glock outright.

It is a great gun, which is why I want to keep it.  I'll keep it either way, just wondering if it could be altered

The frame is some sort of aluminum alloy, not real easy to work with.  They do make laser grips for it though if you're looking to upgrade it a bit.

You could use an epoxy or SteelStick and mold it to the guard how you like.  Then file/sand and paint to match.
