Thresher sharks

Why in the world did wdfw close retention for thresher sharks. They are allowed to be retained in every other state. They are a pelagic fish and they taste delicious. Who do I have to email to complain about this. It's the dumbest rule this state has ever made.

They might be best tasting fish in the state. They taste exactly like swordfish.

I was wondering the same thing.

How many people have actually caught a Thresher Shark in WA waters?

I've been on a charter in westport and our boat caught 2 the same trip

I think I am gonna give salmon sharks a go this year. Never caught a thresher in Washington. Caught um on the east coast and ate um and have eaten um a few times in California. Maybe best eating fish in the ocean. Mako is pretty darn taste also.  Would love to try salmon shark. And it would be awesome to catch one in Washington this is the year.

That is cool, were they big?

One was about 5 feet I think and the other was alittle bigger. The capt said he's never seen or caught one but he took one home to eat
