Longest consecutive run on tagging elk.
« on: July 10, 2015, 01:18:57 PM »
What's everyone's longest consecutive run on killing elk in Washington any drop in doesn't matter.  I'm currently on mine now with 4 archery elk in a row.  Feeling a little pressured on the strive for five.

My longest run is "0"! :chuckle:

Seems you have it figured out I wouldn't worry to much about it.  :twocents:

Why do you feel pressure about it? That would make hunting seem like a job and no fun.  :dunno:

1985-1999, all archery.  Got a few since then but haven't had a lot of time to hunt them.

Not me but know 2 brothers on the west side that shot first elk at the age of 13 and have shot elk every year since. They are now in their mid 50s.

I'm currently sitting at 8 in a row. First one was a cow. The last 7 have been bulls.

I think anything over 2 is impressive

I have killed one elk in two years of archery hunting.  One every other year would be a good average but I'd much rather get one every year.
Kindly do not attempt to cloud the issue with too many facts.

Wish I had the same track record with bulls as I do bears and mature BT's. You guys are impressive.

1981 to 1996 I think.  All archery and a few of those years there was elk in multiple states.  Might have that end date wrong by a year 1996 or 97, but I think 96 is the year.  There are a few cows in there during that time.  More cows than bulls since then :chuckle:

Gotta invest the time effort.  I really haven't and best streak is probably 3 years.  I don't generally go more than a year or two now without an elk but still eat plenty of tag soup when I don't put the time in.
