I did 2007-2013. So 7. Trophy hunted my way to tag soup last year and it too sure about this year. It'll be a bit more difficult now that I'm hunting east side since the weyco permits started. We had the Coweeman elk figured out

I am not against killing an elk on private land.  In fact I dream of owning my own private elk slaying ranch some day.  But so far all my elk have been DIY public land.

I hope that changes this year as my Utah hunt is a DIY private land hunt.  That ranch is probably bigger than four Yale units put together, but I'm hoping the limited access really increases the number of big boys living there!  Been quite a few years since I tagged anything over 300.

I'm currently sitting at 8 in a row. First one was a cow. The last 7 have been bulls.

Will you adopt me?   :IBCOOL:

I think I've gotten an elk in Washington every year but 1 since 1999.    Didn't get one around  2005.

Plenty of cows and a few bulls.

My kids only want elk burger.

currently sitting on four successful years in a row.  Seems I am spending more time trying to get my friends animals before myself.  That makes getting an elk extra difficult.  Makes for great memories thoe.

Mine are all DIY. And all were killed on land open to the public ( state and industrial timberland) except the last three were on Weyerhaeuser land after they went to access permits. Not sure if that counts.

I've gotten lucky, been 8 yrs in a row for me. 5 cows and 3 bulls. One of which scores high enough to make the Washington state book.
