Manson Sheep hunt 2015
« on: July 14, 2015, 07:34:15 PM »
Well, might as well dedicate a thread to this hunt.  I am heading out to the garage when I am done typing this to pick up my bow for the first time since last fall.

Hoping to get out to Chelan mid August for my first scouting trip.

It's tough, seems we have people coming out to the island every weekend for the next month or more....  I was going to hit the bears this year but man, time seems to be getting tight already.

You can always keep an eye out for bear while you're over scouting? I hear there are a few over in that country...

I was looking at the area the sheep hang out in while i was hunting deer last year. that would be a fun archery hunt. lots of steep terrain and rocks and stuff to sneak around trying to get close.

Count me as one potential.. Do you have a boat? That is definitely the easiest way to spot them in my opinion..  :twocents:
I am not opposed to golf, for I suspect it keeps armies of the unworthy from discovering deer.

;) I can spot them, but no promises on field judging rams.. That is new territory to me. I can pack with most of 'em though! Earnestly, if you need anything, give a shout.. I'll be back in Chelan in late September/early October but can maybe make a few trips earlier.

your best bet is to hook up with member Grade Cr.
