Not sure if your permit is open around the WalMart in Chelan, but I darn near ran over an entire heard of Big Horn Sheep last evening. I drive thru there all the time. Typically you can find them on the hillside back behind the WalMart and on left if you are heading on 97 North. They cross 97 to get to water in the Columbia.
Went up lake this weekend and there was 7 rams at point no point right at the lake. One was a dandy!
Just opened up my paperwork envelope. Looks like they expect us to do a whole bunch of surveying for them as well; How many ewes/lambs/three quarter curl or better rams did we see each day?
