My first year guiding in Montana, I shot this guy in between the first hunt and the second. Being raised up on hunting magazines, I thought most mule deer got this big. Two or three hunts later I fully appreciated him. My one and only mule deer.

Score escapes me. It wasn't an official score. That just ain't for me. 180 something. Deep forks are good.

Suspect both of these old boys are pretty close-don't know as they were never scored. Do know the one on the left measured 37 1/2" and had a total of 23 points. One on right is just about exactly 30" spread

Truthfully, I'm the one behind the camera. My younger brother on the left, older on the right. Those are the two biggest of 14 total bucks our family shot over the opening weekend-3-4 others were pretty close but the one on the left won our dollar apiece camp big buck contest. (widest spread only) Those were the days!!
