Hi guys,

The night before the Mutton Buster II 3-D Shoot in the Yakima Canyon we are hosting a free calling seminar hosted by Joel Turner, 2 Time RMEF Calling Champ and a great guy and teacher.  I grew up with Joel in Eatonville, WA and a few years back he fixed up a bunch of my bad calling and "moment of truth" habbits.  I thought I had my stuff together but boy was I wrong haha!  He explained some things that have stuck with me and dragging that elk in those last few yards has become easier for me.  Anyway, great teacher and this will be a worthwhile event to attend.  Grab a burger at the Grill before or after the seminar next door.  It will make a great weekend to see this on Friday night, camp in the Canyon, and then shoot the Mutton Buster II the following day.

Here is a link the events page on Facebook, this is a great place to check in and stay tuned to what's going on that weekend.  https://www.facebook.com/events/1412422499087827/

If you haven't been to one of his seminars they are outstanding.  Its at Canyon River Lodge next to Red's Fly Shop in the Yakima Canyon.  It starts at 6 pm and you can even buy a beer while you hang out and learn some things.  We've all heard good callers, but he'll make some connections for you that are simple, easy to understand, and you'll be able to start getting elk to cooperate much better.
