dave8pt.shane is correct. the game dept wants them gone from the wild...the only thing that's keeps me from dropping him is his location and the fact that he's pretty much become tame and isn't venturing far from his home turf. i'm not one to support the introduction of a non native species into an area because of the consequences that could result from it, more specifically the harm that they could do to the native species of animals that live there, but i'd be lying to you if i said he hasn't grown on me a bit through the past couple of years. besides, i have a feeling that one of these days, he's going to wonder out of his home turf and someone's going to connect with him.
if it is a non-native species then why would you need a hunting license for it?
