Went out to the freezer to grab some meat to find the freezer had stopped working. :bash: :bash: 60Lbs of elk gone. >:(

I had a huge batch of pepper stick in the freezer this last fall.  I would be hopping mad if I had that freezer quit on me.

What a bummer. I got a temp alarm off Amazon for about $15 and it works great, is loud and gets louder if not reset.

Gotta have an alarm.  I set mine at 25 deg. If it gets to that I have a problem.  I keep the readout on my fridge and check every morning.  With a hundreds of pounds of halibut, salmon, crab, clams, deer and elk I couldn't sleep if I didn't have it.

Freezer alarms $12 on amazon

I run a power alarm too - common for garage  gfci breaker to trip. Usually same circuit as outlets outside in the weather

Definitely gonna be gettin an alarm. First time of hearing of an alarm. Im glad i didn't have my spring bear in there! Hopefully i will be able to fill my bull tag to replace the meat but it just weighs heavy having killed an elk and wasting a portion of it :bash:
