Looking at getting a new rifle, hunting duty is covered, so this is a play purchase

I want something I can start shooting long range, and maybe even run some precision rifle matches in the future, after seeing the ruger precision in a nra magazine a few months back I've kinda kept it in the back of my mind, now that I'm getting closer to time to purcharse, I've been reading more about them, they seem like a solid performer right out of the box, and I have yet to read a bad review.
Anybody care to share any experiences they may have had with one? Gonna go with the 6.5 creedmore when it's time, I won't have a ton of money for a scope, but there's a few options out there in the 500ish range that would suit the gun for a while, letting me learn to stretch my legs some.
